The Master Plan for Castell de l’Oreneta Park has recently received the Juan Julio Special Mention Award for Best Technical Work from the Spanish Association of Public Parks and Gardens. We are very excited to share this news!

On Friday, 15 September, at the Alt Empordà Branch Office of the COAC, we will take part in the Workshop series on good architectural practices in the city of Figueres, where we will present the work undertaken at the Figueres Fire Station.

The expansion project was carried out almost entirely within the existing structure, occupying part of the garage with new roofs, while preserving its distinctive overhang.

Last Saturday, RTVE’s Jardines con historia (Gardens with History) programme featured Barcelona’s Laberint d’Horta. We have been entrusted with the park’s declaration as a Site of National Cultural Interest (BCIN) and we have also restored the green maze. We will soon be starting the work.

We were invited to talk about it from within the park’s most representative and allegorical setting.

This weekend was the inauguration of the expansion of the Conca Dellà Museum. A light, reflecting footbridge over a narrow street of the historic quarter connects the three floors of the museum with the new construction, located in the Can Serra building (a listed Catalan cultural heritage site [BIPCC]).

The Sort Regional Library was presented at the 44th International Conference on Architectural Heritage Intervention, under the title Patrimoni custodiat (Protected heritage). Starting at hour 3 minute 16:

The installation makes use of a long-forgotten concrete structure at the foot of the castle belonging to the Counts of Pallars. The intervention preserves and adapts this existing structure, protecting the castle from its deteriorated surroundings: the new installation is set back, opening up the view, while enhancing the landscape and serving as a base that accentuates the monument.

Publication of La transformació dels edificis industrials tèxtils a Catalunya (The Transformation of Industrial Textile Buildings in Catalonia), in collaboration with the REARQ group (UPC). The book explores the way in which these buildings which were initially used for textile production, have been adapted for new uses, thereby transcending their outdated functions and past.

A big day: Reading of the doctoral thesis Les voltes de rajola doblada: Construcció i estabilitat estructural de les esglésies barroques catalanes (Folded tiled domes: Construction and structural stability of Catalan baroque churches).

The Solsona Library was awarded at the 7th Catalan Architecture Exhibition: Central Regions.
